Cheese rigs stolen!!

So, I just found out, that some of our Tillamook Cheese advertisement rigs were stolen today in Manteca!! 

They are very unique vehicles stolen.  Three VW Microbus's that have been cut down, a Ford Dually Crew cab, and at least a 40" fifth wheel trailer.  Very recognizable.  They are all labeled Tillamook Cheese, and all are in our Medium Baby loaf color!!




Please help us find our beloved buses! On Saturday, July 12, we learned that the Tillamook Truck, Trailer and three Cheese Sampling Tour VW Buses were stolen from the Hampton Inn Manteca parking lot. We have alerted local Sacramento authorities who are currently investigating. If you have any information that could help in the investigation please contact Detective Moody: 209-456-8101

Cheesemaker, glad it wasnt your yota. Thats what I thought when I read the title. When Pepe posted his truck had been stolen I about had a hart attack in the time it took to discover that no it wasnt the green taco!  Love that Tillamook cheese bye the way, gotta stop every time im in the neighborhood  .

Yeah, I'd have a heart attack if my rig was stolen.  The gal at the insurance office, thought I was crazy for putting full coverage on a 25+ year old Toyota Pickup!!   

But I had to post up, because these rigs are very unique and stand out.  Obviously, as recognizable as they are, they gotta be in a chop shop.  Because they whole setup stands out like a sore thumb!!

I hate thieves  . My first thought was wow, they had 4 drivers to take all 4 rigs but then I noticed the picture on the side of the trailer, the vw's must have been in it. Thats a high profile setup to steal.

That just stinks! Those rats need to tracked down. I wonder if it was those California cows that did it. Sure glad it wasn't your Toyota.

Read earlier that the Ford and trailer were found burning today I think. No sign of the Vee Dubs. I saw the chop top one here in town a few months ago. I asked the cute cheese salesgirl how the flop they drive those things on the highway. She told me they tried to drive em around at first but they were too sketchy on the highway so Tillamook had to get a tow rig/trailer to move them around.

Damn shame, I looked at the one I saw up close and it was a very well built little mini VW.
