Success!  I'm registered!  Now, I just have to figure out where this rubicon trail thing is and how I get there.   :smack:

If you need directions most people would be more then welcome to help out or if you look at the groups page get in with a group. Found pretty easy lots of trucks are around that area at this time can just follow them in that's how i found it the first year lol.

Awe man, I am soo bummed reg is closed. For some reason I thought it closed today. I'll still be there but will have to eat PBnJ instead of tri-tip and sleep at Buck or something.  Not a happy camper right now.

Hey Big Mike,

Is registration officially closed now?  Do we have an updated list?

Sorry but we had to close it so we can put in orders for shirts, dash plaques, food, etc. Yes, please still show up, we just won't be able to guarantee a meal, shirt, etc but you can still participate in events and the general raffle

http://pio.edso.org/press-release/183/ hope it wasn't the helicopter

Ohhhh no, wow regardless of who it was I'm glad to read everyone is okay. I do know that the Helicopter who does our event is indeed scheduled for the Jeepers Jamboree, but 1) I can't recall exactly if it was indeed the Jeepers Jamboree or the Jeep Jamboree, and 2) there very well could have been multiple birds this Jamboree.

Wow crazy stuff...

Ok, did some searching and came across this: http://www.sacbee.com/2014/08/01/6599384/injuries-reported-in-helicopter.html According to the Sacramento Bee,

Quote"the aircraft is an AS350D helicopter. An FAA website shows the registered owner is Heli-Flite Inc. of Riverside."

The Helicopter we hire is not from Heli-Flite and also does not fly an AS350D, or at least they have never flown that type at our event.

AS350D on left, the one that works our event on the right:

I don't know anything about helicopter models, just did a random Google Image search. Image sources are as follows:
"AS350D": http://www.applebeeaviation.com/fleet/aircraft/
The one used at our event: https://www.marlincrawler.com/gallery/2012/sep/2012-marlin-crawler-round#/28

Again, regardless, I'm glad those people are okay. I'll be calling our guy on Monday for verification if he can make our event or not.

BigMike

Not sure who to ask this question... Does anyone know if the caretaker at the springs has any issues with the Camco "campfire in a can"? In know they are legal in the Eldorado NF even during fire restrictions but have been told that may not apply to use on private property??? I believe the RTF guys had one in their camp last year but I don't want to drag it down if I can't use it... Or who can I contact that would know? :dunno:

Rockcrawlintoy

Call them. Should be legit since u can turn it off. A prevention officer said it was cool a few years ago.

Hey Nicomarie1391, thanks for the reply and sorry for the trouble. What is the number in question? Alternatively, Christine is the one in charge of registration so please send her a quick email about it here: https://www.marlincrawler.com/contact/christine
