Just ordered some Falkens...

I honestly won't get much reviews on that side of it where I live.  I constantly ask guys if they wheel and am usually disappointed with their answers, or they stumble and say yea, then describe awkwardly nothing even close to wheeling.  If I get mine and my friend gets his, we'll both go on our virgin wheeling trips and will have some feedback.  Both our rigs are for fishing/hunting/exploration, but we do wanna go to some areas nearby like the high lakes.

Awesome. Yeah I will be picking them up in 37" variety with my tax return unless some negative feedback comes down the pipe.

First impressions, QUIET! I don't know if my old tires were that bad, but I can hear myself think lol.
Got my spare down and up today also SCORE! Will take some pics tonight when I take pics of the headlights!

Well those look vastly superior.  If they are cheap enough and they have a 35x12.50 15 I might taste test a set.  The price point would be the deal maker/breaker though. My ideal scenario would be to have one set of something like that and one set of maybe iroks.  I will probably just go back to a light mud terrain in the end though...

Yeah they make like NO noise.  Benefit of the old man tread design.  I don't necessarily mind loud tires but it is nice to have a quiet set of sneakers for summer road trippin'.

No way falken related but...   OK after staring at the two tread designs for like a half an hour I officially like the cepek exreme country slightly better than the cooper stt pro.  Very, very similar tread designs but I like the slightly larger voids of the cepeks and the little hook voids in the smaller side lugs.  I also think the longer zig-zag voids between the center tread and side lugs would afford more lateral and shed gumbo better. Cooper looks to have a nicer sidewall pattern.  Seems to me that either would rock in the snow.

Cooper has a much better history of quality in their tires. Where are the pics of your new Coopers by the way?

Coopers.  They have better casings.  Unless Cepek redesigned their casings?  I remember Cepeks would split along the bead, when you aired down.  And the sidewalls would cut easier than BFG's.

Quiet as can be, It made me notice an exhaust leak I didn't know about. Aggressive enough to play in the mud, can't wait for the snow to fly! Ordered from discount tire Ebay store. Took them to local store and rep said " Oh you bought those from the online store, they get mounted for free." I said oh really, sweet. Come to find out, they threw in the 60k replacement warranty. Its all in writing on the receipt.

Are you sure they're running the stt pro?  Reason I ask is cause that's one of the things they worked very hard on was reducing the chipping, which was an issue on the old stt.

So After getting down to the 5 solid bars I said to heck with it and went to work on these with the groover, big time.  They now work really, really, really well in the snow.  I'm sure they won't last long but I needed them to be sticky for another month or two before I can afford tires.

When you get ready for another set, it's worth looking at discount tire direct or ebay. They shipped them to me free (BFG KO2's) and as another post here said, the shop mounted them free !

I ended up saving about $180. (some of that was Ca  taxes)

Having just put a set of the Coopers on my 4Runner I would expect them to dig in snow which isn't really the goal.  They are more aggressive than I was anticipating from the pictures I had seen.  Definitely seem to be pushing the limits of a "street" tire and getting closer to the dedicated off road tires than the BFG KM, Goodyear Wrangler MTR, Cooper STT, Toyo Open Country MT were.  Just my two cents though...

I ended up getting some BFG KO2s.  Oddly the Falkens convinced me I could get by with all terrains, but I wanted something just slighty more knobby, so I ended up with the BFGs.

I still have the Falkens on the 4Runner right now.  My groover touched cords and they haven't exploded. I will say Falken makes a great, tough carcass.  If their new tread design doesn't disappear at 50% I wouldn't hesitate to run a set.

The new ones do not    I am much more intruiged by the new falken at3w than the rocky mountains/wild peaks, which appear to be being discontinued.  I've only had one come through the shop, but did really like the tread design.  It is funny how so many tires look like hybrids anymore, stealing part of the design of another tire or two.
