Have a bit of a tank rust issue, this is a DD, I'm wondering if attempting an epoxy coating is worth the money and possibility of it not adhering properly?

Or if I can hit it with some phosphoric acid and then mitigate the flash rust. It's a DD but won't always have a full tank.

i used a  por 15 fuel tank kit in my scout's gas tank. it worked great but a good used tank for a toyota should be cheap and easy enough to find.

For my Rocky, Could get spare one, have to do some driving though.

I don't have experience with them but the aftermarket tanks are around $100-$200 for a new tank depending on what you have.

Ive used the POR15 treatment on VW fuel tanks and it works great if you follow the instructions
