Hi everyone i'm new to this forum and hoping i can gain some knowledge here and also share some knowledge.I own a couple Toyota 4x4 trucks, the first being a 1986 Toyota 4x4 turbo truck with 5 speed.Been my daily driver for the last 9 years.I am also currently building a 1987 Toyota 4x4 truck with a carbed 22r.Now i live in Maine and the winters here just eat these trucks up.On the truck i'm building,i have completely rebuilt the frame from the cab back.Body has been lifted off frame and frame has been cleaned up and 2 coats of Masterseries Silver rust paint has been applied. This is a moisture cured urethane and seems to be an awesome product. It is priced right and alot easier to work with than por15.After that was applied i put on 2 heavy coats of there black frame paint which is a moisture cured urethane with a hardener and seems very rugged. These products seal the rust and keep it from rusting further. All i can say is if you don't have to deal with rust then you are soooooo lucky.I see trucks here 3 years old that are rotted. And trying to find used parts here is tough to say the least.I am trying to do everything i can to stop any further progression of rust.I am thinking of using Eastwoods internal frame coat for the inside of the frame.Do any of you have any experience with this?Any input would be great.

Thanks man hows the rust treating you?

Pretty good. Living in Texas where rust is as rare as the rain. Whereabouts in Maine are you?

I haven't used the inner frame product from Eastwood, but have used their Rust Encapsulation.  Their products are very good, and it is definitely worth a shot.
