Anyone ever get a bare short block from these guys ? I heard their stuffs made in china taiwan etc. anyone ever have good/bad luck im looking at getting the bare short block for 650.00 and doing the rest myself with parts from engnbldr.

I've not heard of them. But made in China yet called "Japan Engine, Inc." ... :dunce: :hammerhead:

They're based in California I guess japan engine is just the company name. I had block sent to the machine shop blew a ring scored the wall, it was bored .60 and I don't like that so I'm hunting for a block.

I bought a long block from them this summer. I got the one with the turbo gasket set $1750.00 shipped to the door (hard to beat that price)... So far so good...
