I'm going to have to disagree. I have Bronco with 345k miles that still runs strong and nothing was ever done to the motor.
I just need some clarification here.Have you had the Bronco for all of those 345,000 miles

been there, done that.

I got sick of fixing it all the time: radiator, radiator cap, and hoses, water pump, oil pump, timing cover, head gasket, timing chain/gears/guides/tensioner, throttle Cable, e-brake cable. It's my dads problem now.
Im just guessing, but does this sound right,The timing chain wore through the guides, causing it to wear into the timing cover causing water to enter the oil, kept driving utill it overheated and blew the headgasket and messing up the waterpump and oil pump and stoping up the radiator and hoses.

the rig looks nice by the way, what future plans do have for it. well good luck  :beerchug:

Thank you. As for future mods, I really don't know. Tomorrow I'm getting a CB and I want to get a huge whip antenna on the back bumper. I also want to make a roof rack, but I'm having a hard time deciding on the style. I like the Nissan Xterra roof racks but it would take a bit of fab work to make it fit a Cherokee. Sometime in the future I want to make some rock sliders too.

Who knows. I bought it like that. The engine is still slowly losing power. I guess the previous owner beat it, it's just tired.
