Topic: Need sum help on 99 3.4 idling high and acting funny

Ok I have a 99 tacoma 3.4l 5speed in the last few weeks
It started idling at 2000-1500 rpm's worked up and coming to a stop
Idle go's up and down the idles out to 1500rpms
If I get out and grab the Throttlebody And manually turn it backwards..
Hey idles down to And  Idles normal tell I hit the gas then jumps back to 1500 rpm's
I've cleaned Throttlebody.. Replace throttle position sensor
And cleaned all parts good.. Still don't help but Manually twisting throttle back makes it idle fine

What do you think it is?

There are many reasons why a 3.4 would have a high idle. Vacuum leak to electrical components failing and everything in between.

I would first try to clean the iac. Search yotatech for write ups on high idle issues. There are 100's of threads.
