Axle Rebuild
« on: Jun 08, 2013, 11:07:34 AM »
Follow up thread to something I posted a bit ago.

I need a new diff housing (broke in the process of re gearing) and its proving to much of a PITA to put it in and get the long fields in as well. Can I just rebuild the knuckles for now without the diff or shafts and birfs in and just do the camo meathod later to put the new diff and shafs/birfs in to make some progress here? I dont think that would interfere with the rest of the rebuild but maybe im no remembering something.

As it stands its just an empty housing in need of all new seals, bearings, brakes ect, on the knuckles so I want to go ahead and get that started at least.

Yes, you don't need the birfs in the rebuild the knuckles either.
