Ok so you guys may or may not have seen my post about rebuild a front axle. Today i started tearing into it. pulled off the cap on the hub pulled the snap ring, then got the cone washers out and proceeded to remove the hub body and spindle, this is where i get stuck. I have never done this before but i have watched it be done and read alot about it, and everythign i know about it tells me that the birf and inner axle slide out together. well, i pull on the birf and it comes off the inner shaft  :smack:, leaving the inner shaft stuck in the housing. I did not put this axle together but i know now that the guy who did did not do something right  . I cant seem to get this axleshaft out now, and of course since its a yota setup theres no inspection cover to get in there and get it from the inside.

Please help me guys i need ideas.  :crossed: all i have tried is pulling on it with some channel locks so far.

no they are not. do you have another axle you can steel the snap ring off of and slide the birfield back on and try that. or maybe a slide hammer that you can hook on there and give it a nudge

I dont have another axle i can grab a snap ring off of. however i was thinking about using a slide hammer, my only thing is, how would you attach it to the axle? One thought i had was tack welding a nut to the end of it. but i just dont know. its as though he put a snap ring on the shaft before he slid it in or something. leaving it stuck in the Carrier.
