I've got an '88 4Runner with auto locking hubs and will be getting the manual Aisin hubs this week. Project seems pretty straight forward, but I'm having difficulty on getting the torque settings for the 54mm nuts. As I currently understand the swap, after removing the auto hub I will need to place a washer next to the outer wheel bearing, followed by a 54mm adjusting nut, lock washer and finally 54mm lock nut. Can someone give me the torque for the adjusting nut and the lock nut?
One additional question is what kind of grease should I apply to end of the drive shaft before putting the hub body in place? The hubs are coming pre assembled so they will already have grease inside them.
