auto locking hubs to manual locking hubs?

ok can someone please help me out here, i cant find any info on this.  i have a 87 4runner with auto locking hubs, and a solid axle out of a 82 pickup with manual locking hubs.  i would like to put the ifs hubs on the solid axle to gain some width, but dont want dumb auto locking hubs.  is it possible to take the guts out of the auto hubs and put the guts from the manual hubs inside?

Search..  IFS + Hub on this site or pirate you will get couple days worth of reading.   


Edit.  Must use SA Lockign hubs on the solid axle.  You can use IFS locking hubs, but need to purchase a hub gear from bobby to go into the unit before it'll work.  I do not know if anything on your auto hub can be used on the SA.
