Any updates?  I'm currently building a first gen and it's turning out a lot like yours.  👍

tgmaul88

yes, updates
I flat towed it with a tow bar from michigan to oregon and made it,
still have 2 430 diffs installed, found a guy in medford who will set up my diffs as soon as I can get two spartan lockers,

as for my shackle angle I am not pleased, thought about getting a alcan leaf a few inches shorter eye to eye for the front, due to me not welding the front hanger far enough foward

installed the mc07 dual case setup with new gaskets from toyota and I purchased a SKYs offroad dual t case x member and need to weld that on,

still need another t case mount

front brakes
bucket seat
front and rear bumper / reciever mount - tow points

been wheeling my 4runner pretty heavy
and i picked up another dirt bike project

southern Oregon been good
found a rust free cab and bed to use due to rust so i may be swapping the cab again

dropzone

Welcome to Oregon!! :beerchug:
Rust free stuff is way easier to find here than the midwest..

Looking good.  Your welding is improving at a good rate!  It helps that you have a nice miller.  If you can turn that thing up a little bit alot of those welds dont have much penetration.  They are great for the experience you have though.  Love the MTR's and the I like how it doesn't sit too high.

X2. Jealous of your location

yeah right, down there isnt a bad place either, just smog

tgmaul88

so for progress, I have another engine to put in it, another 22re block to rebuild, most expensive thing in that build will be getting a 1600lb comp clutch , need bearings and to clean up my head, but i have 3 2wd 1980s parts trucks.

one will be converted into another truck bed trailer on 37s,(which I already have) and another will be made a 2wd truck and the last truck may be turned into something.  dont know
