I am converting my 4runner to right hand drive and the original wiring loom was cut when they performed the swap in another vehicle so I have a damaged wiring loom and I am in the process of placing the Lexus 1UZ V8 in the truck also. I was wondering if anyone out there is good enough to perform this or do you know a company that can repair and blend the three wiring looms? :help: :dunno:

It shouldn't be that hard to figure out.  Just get some good wiring diagrams.  You can get vehicle specific diagrams from Toyota for $12. This was 5 years ago when I called Toyota and ordered the FSM.   All you need is a VIN.  Wiring isn't that hard to do, just use diagrams, match up the wires, and know how to use a good soldering gun.

Or you could give 12voltguy a call and see if he can do it for you.  This way, you know it would be perfect.  http://www.12voltguy.com/

The problem on the RHD loom is that I dont have a vin. #. Toyota will print that out for me for $12 though? MIGHT HAVE TO TRY THAT.

What I would do, I don't have an issue with wiring, is get diagrams for the motor you have.  And just reverse how things go.  You might have to split the loom and get all the wires all laid out, and wrap them in the way you need to get them to go.  And for the cut ends, splice them together with some solder, and heat shrink tubing.

I'm in the process of doing a 1uz right now on my 86 4Runner. there is place call Phoenix Tuning that is willing to do a plug and play process. They specialize in Toyota custom harness.  its reasonable and guarantee life time warranty. I am actually thinking of it just to save the time and headache. I will be reviewing the harness and diagram myself before sending it off.. I'm sure we can do it. but lifetime guarantee is something to think about. Plus I'm in California so there has to be no check engine light... or anything funny...
