I have a 99 jeep cherokee and want to do a stright axel swap and was thinking about using a setup from like a jeep cj. What would be the best year model to get my parts from? any info would be a big help.

Your better off using the link setup they come with.  Due to the fact that there isn't much metal to really attach to the front clip for the springs to mount to.  Remember that the Cherokee's are a uni-body with no frame.  And everything else has a body on frame setup.  So, we actually have some steel to mount the front hangar to.

Last I checked Cherokee's came with a straight axle in the front.

But the "setup from a CJ" as quoted from above, tells me that he's not experienced with Jeeps!!  Cause CJ's were leaf spring, and the Cherokee in questions is coil/link front.  I obviously forgot to type in "leaf" in my prior post.   :smack:
