Hey there,

I just bought a super clean 1985 SR5 extended cab Toyota with a 5 speed and solid front axle.  It has a 22R-E engine with 140,000 original miles (I am the 2nd owner).  Unfortunately it needs a new tranny as it has a rumble in all but 4th gear.  I hope to buy a rebuilt one from Marlin soon (the answer is money - what was the question?).

I am driving the truck back and forth to work, and it has one annoying problem besides the noise in the gearbox.  Apparently the shift fork ball/shifter seat is worn out, and it leaks gear oil out around the shifter when i drive it hard.  Any idea on a temporary fix?
