4RUN-TOY

I owned a 1995 4runner 3.0 slow with auto 4x4,  that was the family rig.  It was a beautiful truck, super clean.  The Wife rolled it a couple weeks ago its not so nice anymore :shake_head:.  O well :ack:  Family is OK and trucks can be replaced.  So no more than get the insurance money in hand when two yota's show up on craigslist.  A 1995 4runner v6, auto, 4x4 and a 1994 pickup v6, auto, 4x4.  The 4runner needs a motor and the pickup needs a trans but really needs to be buried in a hole :yesnod:.  4runner was from Florida and was good shape body wise.  The pickup was rolled but ran.  The gent wanted 3000 bucks for both.  Offered 2 and he took it.  So I now have three dead toyota's in the yard.

Before the first 4runner got rolled I was acquiring parts to convert it to a 2RZ/3RZ five speed manual.  You guys on here have some awesome write ups on how to do it.  Granted most are converting 22R's but hey.  So since I have to start from scratch and I'm ahead a couple bucks at the moment the Wife cleared me to do the swap now.  Of course still looking for a motor.

I will be posting pictures and questions along the way so here we go.  Give me some time, its snowing really hard right now and COLD.

Info about me:  I work parts counter at a Toyota dealer.  The dealer my Dad bought his first Toyota a new 1988 4runner.  First Toyota was a 1989 Supra.  Bought the 4runner from my Dad when it had 350 thousand miles on it, still ran like a top.
