Does anyone have a picture/diagram or anything that shows how to remove and replace the door lock cylinder in a 1982 Toyota 4WD? thanks

pretty sure yea just take inner door panel of, pull the pressure clip and the cylinder comes out enough to take the linkage off....

Those are some huge welds!

Just pull the panel off, and look inside.  You will see how things are attached.  Just carefully pop things off, and it should fall right out, and when you put in a new one, just reverse how it came out.

Yeah pretty easy, a plastic rod clip, a metal cylinder clip and it comes right out. One suggestion though get a new clip for the rod chances are it will crack and break when you take it off. If you have never taken off a door panel make sure you pick up a GM/Toyota window crank clip remover too, makes it a lot quicker and easier to get that little clip off behind the crank.
