I'm pretty happy with the one sittin in my driveway. I could always use some more parts to bolt/weld on onto the old goat though. Lockers and a load of steel would finish her of nicely.

How about this one, Mike, if you can't score that 70 series?

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/14991487-post349.html

It's a truckified FJ62, dubbed "FJ31" due to all the cutting that Don at FC Fab did, but it's not really an FJ; it's now an HJ with its bad ass Toyota 12HT turbo diesel power plant that Georg swapped in.

Here's a link to the beginning of the build thread:

What a Christmas present this will be. :-)

that would be hard to get it out the front door.

Or the chimney for that matter haha. Park it on the lawn. Just pick up your empties before you lock it- at least I know I would have to be drunk to do that to a Toyota and park it in someones front yard haha

For Christmas I want Toyota to manufacture the trucks they made between 79-85. No new features- just brand new 22r's and brand new 1985 straight axles. To avoid smog and safety standards just have buyers sign a waiver. Yes I understand its "unsafe" but its safer than my p.o.s. with 240k on it.

If they reman'd old trucks they'd be gone before they were built. especially if they were the Australian hilux with a diesel.

Santa’s sleigh with his a reindeer!!!!
Yeah I have heard they may introduce one in the tundra. Who knows if it will actually ever happen. I got mine from foreign engines in lynnwood. They imported it from Japan as a front clip from prado. It took me 2 years and lots of extra parts ordered from Japan because I wanted it in front of the manual transmission. They are very rare to find coupled with the factory R-151f. So I had to source one locally from a 87-87 turbo gas truck. Wiring was a PITA but I got through it. I love it now.
