Keep the duplicates or remove them, it won't have any affect on the outcome

Except that some change what they want in their different posts which leaves it up to your super system to decide which one it will pick and it may not be the 1st choice of the poster.

Even if they change the Wishlist ten times and post about each change, duplicates are removed (includes someone who creates duplicate accounts because we can easily check for this). Whatever the member has in their Wishlist at noon will get it! :santa: :woohoo:

Hmmm, my kid posted for his 4Runner using my computer does this mean it won't be a valid post Mike?

If the guy that posted "Winner Chicken Dinner" wins that's what he should win. In fact he should be awarded a chicken dinner even if he's not picked. Oh Mike one chicken dinner please!

Agreed 50 legit posts sounds reasonable.  I say LEGIT because there are people who would just post HEY & HI 50 times or something.  Must contribute to this forum to be qualified.

Nothin about greed we just wanted somebody to win who actually contributes to this forum and "is/will be" an active member for a long time.

New members become long term members by sticking around. I am a new member and like coming here for some of my questions and to see what other people do with their rigs, issues, or questions. Too bad long term members find it bad that a new member might win something, when they themselves feel entitled just because the years they have been around. I am very thankful for those members that have been around a long time, as they do have a lot of knowledge, but new members keep this going too. You can criticize me for saying all this or leave it alone... But, I would like to say a VERY loud thank you to Marlin Crawler for all the advice I have received by posts, emails, and phone calls. I love my Marlin Crawler gears and clutch! Those items have made some trails that were impossible, possible. Therefore, I will continue to upgrade my truck, as many of you do. Thank you Marlin Crawler and all its members!

New Members who stick around & contribute to this forum are different then ones who signed up just to win & then bailed, Thats all this comment was about, we all stated this earlier in the thread.

Silly people, the whole point of this thread was to not clutter up the contest thread with comments like "hey you need to read the rules" on every other post since some people didn't read the rules, posted and were not going to win since they did not post what was in their wish list. Sure there were posts from members laughing at those that didn't follow the rules and that was the point. I don't think anyone got upset that a newer member won it. I've won one contest and have been here since 04 it's no big deal. Hell even a 1 poster had as much chance as someone with 12,587 posts. :gap:
