Uhmmm! This is Gatekeeper, not Boulder Alley.

I found this searching for pics of Boulder Alley,I have pics of many obstacles on the trail, but not that one.

BigMike

I thought Boulder Alley is the Gate Keeper?

No

Boulder Alley is right after "Parking Lot in the Sky" or maybe you know it as "Top of the World",about 2 miles before White Bark Vista.

Here's a pic of Kaiser Pass

And an unnamed tree that most recognize.

When you say 'right after', do you mean heading into the trail or exiting the trail? (is boulder alley between parking lot in the sky and kaiser pass, or is it between parking lot in the sky and lake camp?)

Also nice vintage pic and nice pics TRACKER also

Right after if you are traveling Northbound,so between "Parking Lot" and White Bark Vista. If Northbound,it's a good drop down some boulders and a long boulder strewn straight stretch. There used to be a long bypass around it,but it was blocked off a few years ago. If Southbound,it's a challenging climb for many(especially at the top).

I thought the antique pic of Kaiser Pass might be enjoyed.

My first crawling trip was supposed to be the Dusy.  But it was still closed the week I went to Coyote.  But one day, I will get the chance to run it, in a rig I built or as a passenger.

That first snow wheeling has to be very tough.  It would be different if there was a good base of snow vs. a fresh layer.

Everything was still dry underneath it, we got firewood out from under the snow and it burned well. If we spun tires enough to get through the snow, we got traction. It was tough finding the trail in open areas too, in one spot once we finally figured it out I put up two trail signs the Forest Service gave us.
