Topic: Axle question

I have a question for all you axle experts. I recently bought a set of axles off a 85 pickup. The guy I bought the axles from got them in exchange of some construction work. Anyways I was told that the axles were stock other than the warn hubs. But now that I have tore them apart I see that the axle shafts are 30 spline and the brifs have a "00 AC BIRFIELD-NTN" then there is a Z a K and a 3. Does any one have any idea what these are? I would appreciate any ones help. Either way I think these are better then the stock??

Warn hubs on a Toyota axle suck, make sure you keep them tight. They have tendency to come loose and shear the locating pins and the studs. Reason, no cone washers.

Are the axle shafts going into the Birfields 30-spline, they are stock 30-spline going into the diff.

X2 ^^^ also I bet they're stock birfs, the outer hub spline is 30 on stock.

All are 30 spline. I was told that stock axles were 27 spline. Also you are right about the warn hubs, on one of the sides the pin was broken. What would you recommend for hubs then?

aisin SA Lock outs  is the term, ifs bodys are alittle different.  there alittle harder to find I have one complete, but you need 2.  wabfab has them and ebay, but post a parts wanted in the wanted section
