I am trying to figure out how to get a couple more inches of lift on the rear of my 4runner. I currently have a 6" lift and have 3" of shock shaft showing.  I sheared off the upper shock mount at the round up this year (no rear bumpstops was my bonehead move). I would like to avoid blocks just for safety.  I still have my old spring packs and was thinking about adding leads to stiffen the rear and lift it at the same time.  Any thoughts?

I changed my 5 inch shackles to 6 inch on my 4runner and it helped

If you still have stock shackles I'd go that route, if you already have aftermarket shackles I'd add to the current spring pack or get a new set of rear springs. You can go junkyard diving for some or get an add-a-leaf. If you go the add-a-leaf route get the long ones since they give better support across the entire pack and prevent bending the main leaf unlike the short ones.
