I have a 87 4x4 pickup and I need to get the drive flange out to replace the seal and bearings. My manual says to use a slide hammer with a special tool that fits onto the flange. I just want to make sure there isn't a circlip or retainer that will be busted off if I use that slide hammer. Has anyone replaced the passenger side drive flange seal and if so can you let me know how to get it separated from the front diff? thanks
