Any one running taco rotors on ifs hubs?
« on: Aug 25, 2012, 07:54:03 PM »
Hey guys, I'm doing this swap and I was wondering how much of the ifs hub I need to turn down on the lathe. Pictures are worth a thousand words so if you could get one that would be awesome! And are there different styles of ifs hubs?

Check my build in my sig (pg 7 I think). Can't recall how much I took off of the hubs. I'm guessing you don't have the rotors?

i am on my taco i will search my pictures see if i have any of the hubs after i turned them down.

86-95 IFS wheel hubs, and these must have the OD of the wheel mounting flange turned down for the Tacoma rotor to slip over, to about 6.680 diameter.

I accidentally got 4runner rotors (16" wheel option) and the ID is bigger than the taco rotors, which I now have. It just looks like I've already taken a lot off the hub.

Nope. I ended up getting on of each kind. Some have spaces between the lugs and some are solid all the way around.

Dude yes! I knew there were different styles haha I though I was trippin for a sec. I have the solid ones so the FROR pic threw me off a bit. Are the ones in that pic machined to fit the taco rotors? How much meat is left between the top of the lug and the top of the hub?

Yes, those ones have been machined. I don't know the measurement off the top of my head, but like was said above after machining the hub should have a diameter of 6.680.
