figured it out, stupid... the two plugs that plug in to the fuse box by the 80 amp fuse. sheesh

now for smog. It was deemed a gross polluter F*(K so now I gotta get that taken care of. I just wanna wheel.

Whats the difference between a California Toyota and a Federal Toyota? My runner is Federal

I  had a federal first gen that had no smog pump. Only the smog tech at the local Toyota dealership would pass me. They knew what wasuup

Plus the sticker on the truck would tell them it was a federal system.

Got the rear fenders tubbed, took the rear "bumper" off, took the top off and loaded her up to go play yesterday for the first time since snow trip 2 years ago. It did effing awesome. I love the iroks. The turbo tranny is awesome, love having duals, it flexes like crazy. I did wipe out my front locker. It was a used lock rite, I wasn't upset at all. But other than that it did amazing. I'll post pics later

I haven't been on marlin for a while. A bit has changed lol. I finished the 4runner and shortly there after I traded it for a 1983 pickup I got the truck and 2500$. The motor was tired so I yanked it and had a 22r from a 89 2wd base model pickup with a fresh rebuild and fresh head by Jim Putney. messed with it for a little but, fender chop, lights, etc. nothing major. I can honestly say I have a new found respect for the original 4x Toyota truck. this was the first 1st gen ive owned and really never understood the hype. ive had second and third gens but that track was a brute.

specs: 1983 fresh 22r, w56 swap, 5.71s, Detroit rear, single case on 35" km2s, bobbed bed 9", 85 buckets and beat.

I recently traded that 83, I got a 98 taco 2.7, 131k, 5speed, lifted on the same 35" km2s that was on the 83  :smokin:

plans are

remove 3 inch body lift
pull out blocks and change springs out back
lock it
and learn how to build a taco

Of course I have always dreamed of owning a Tacoma but thought it was so far out of reach. well now im going to learn.
