This 4runner is very streetable- drives and handles very well. The front suspension was setup to go fast- which you can do with the 3rz
There is easily 25k in parts here, that all work beautifully together. I have invested about 200 hours into it, a fabricator friend of mine has 120 hours into it, and the previous owner (87pickup) had 200+ hours into it. Everything is built to last and be safe while doing it. All parts have very few miles ~3k. It has 2 large dent/scrapes above each rear wheel. They don't bother me, and the paint still looks good. Adds some character. Truck is not set up for emissions- no emissions equipment whatsoever. Because of this, the check engine light is on. There is 1 cat in the exhaust, but it is hollowed out.

The truck needs a lot of little things that I have not been able to get around to since I bought a house, and have another project in the garage.

By little things, I mean:
tailgate latches
Tailgate snaps for the soft top
exhaust from tcase back
harness tabs
winch hooked up
cleaning up some wiring around the battery

Realistically, these things can be finished in a weekend.

Will trade for a clean quad cab tacoma 4x4 2004 or older. TRD is a plus, and low mileage is a plus.
$10,500 with detroit front/spool rear. I will include a rear V6 ARB 5.29 marlin built 3rd for an extra $800.

does it have a working ac?

No it does not, thought it could be added. I didn't see a whole lot of a point in keeping the a/c with the soft top.

Thanks for the comments guys. sorry about the delay, I was out of town for a week. I did not mention in the original ad, this runner is not set up for an emissions controlled area. The ors harness has all of the 3rz emissions hookups, but I dont have any of them hooked up, nor do I have the equipment. The cat is in place though. Im sure it would be someone very specific who ends up buying this rig, because of the price tag, lack of emissions gear, and lack of ac. Lol

Bump. Really looking to trade for a clean low mileage 00-04 quad cab 4x4 trd tacoma. The truck has had a few parts added, now on 37in MTZ's.

Nice rig. I would pick it up if it could pass smog. Good luck with the sale.

peacesells

Thanks man. It could definitely be made to pass smog, but I am not sure what it needs other than the vapor canister and a cat that actually has internals. The fuel fill is in the bed, so that is probably a no-go for California too.

Bump, keep in mind the rig comes with a brand new PSC pump, ram, and reservoir.

Hypothetical stupid question.  If you ran the fuel filler to the original fuel door (of course, covering such shinanigans with the appropriate camo), would the CA
emissions folks know any better?  I hate where Toyota had to place the tank on our 1st gen. 4Runners and love what you did with yours.  Just picking your brains........

I could be very interested. I am I the market for a 4runner I just sold my 72 FJ40.
location? sorry if I missed it.
Are you still holding firm on that Price?
Got any idea on how much it would take to get smog legal?

Still for sale in Phoenix Az. Obviously I have not been trying very hard to sell this thing. I will sell it still, as long as it is picked up in person. The truck needs a lot of little things that I have not been able to get around to since I bought a house, and have another project in the garage. I have decided that I want to keep my front arb 3rd also.

By little things, I mean:
tailgate latches
exhaust from tcase back
harness tabs
winch hooked up
cleaning up some wiring around the battery

Price will reflect work needed. Realistically, you can finish this thing in a weekend. $10,500 with detroit/spool, for $800 extra I will include an arb v6 5.29 rear built by marlin.

Toyomatic

Is this beautiful rig still for sale. Recently wrecked my tacoma and waiting for insurance money but would defiantly be interested. Could you pm me your number

chuck85

I am possibly interested in a trade with cash on your end. I have a 2001 4 door tacoma with 96,000 miles. This truck is fully built. Sased diamond with longs, supercharged, brand new dual cases inchworm, demmello sliders, arb bumper, warn winch 9000, fox shocks all four corners. It is still on leafs. This truck is clean and one of the best daily driver wheelers I have seen. Let me know I am trying to get into a house and need some cash and would like to still have a capable rig

peacesells

This rig was sold a few months ago. Sorry about the delay, I don't get on the forums much anymore.
