dual stacks are dumb just like power strokes

now that was uncalled for!

i like power strokes... there were a few years of crappy ones though.... but overall, i like ford's platform

i do think the dual stacks is a dumb idea though, and 6" dual stacks?! way too huge!!!! a diesel needs maybe a 5" max, single, regular system.....

Lol. Nice thread!

I am partially inclined to someday own a coal producing diesel. I don't know why. Idk if its cause Im a guy or because its the cool thing to do. I am rarely a fan of stacks. While sometimes they can look good most of the time they look like want to be semi trucks. I prefer a single tip pointed at the ground.

yotaneck13

well i think theyre cool so ima run 2 6"ers wont hurt the preformance

doesnt a stack take up bed space in your "work" truck? I dont know about you, but the way I use the bed on my working trucks, id smash a stack in a day, let alone 2 of them.

might hurt performance a little bit..... 2 x 6" stacks is rediculous

a single 4" is adequate for most diesels, even going up to a 5" on bodded diesel still might hurt performance

there needs to be some backpressure, especially if it is a turbo diesel.... and with that much freeflow...

throw a tool box across the bed and have the stack come up in front of it.

This sounds like it would be prone to leaking and a pia. I would just run a normal straight pipe/whatever, my :twocents:

well been driving the truck or almost 2 weeks.  Hauled 12800 lbs to the scrap yard saturday and the tranny is slipping a lil in 2nd gear throwing numerous codes.  But i only paid 5 grand for it so its still a good deal.  put a rf wb and breaks/rotors all around saturday night and both front axel ujoints.  getting it up to par.  i ordered a 2inch leveling kit and will run 315's on alcoas hopefully.  i ordered a edge juice with attitude tuner for it tonight. and i found a wrecked 6speed for 3 grand ill be picking up soon and swapping in as well.

you should post up pictures of the stacks once you put them on then all the kind people here can vote on them.  If we don't like it though it gets to go to the disgrace thread.
