These are sweet. 4wd,factory 4.7 extra low first and over 30 mpg.  Anyone else got one of these? I think they might be pretty rare.

They are awesome! My friends mom had one back in the 80's. His brother took us mudding in it a few times.

Those are so cool. I'd love to have one some day for a little rally car.

They were very common a friend of mine had one as a parts runner for his shop and I'd grab it when I would drop off a vehicle for him to fix so I wouldn't get stuck at his shop. They are fun off road for what they are. I had a Subaru Justy those were a blast off road.

Well like you said they are sort of rare...  I did pick two runners up for like 600 a couple years ago. They were pretty thrashed however.

I understand they arnt toyota but early subarus with the ea81 and ea82 engines are everywhere and usually cheap. Not to mention they have high and low range transfer cases :) lol.....

I've had a couple and I can tell yea they are tough.  I've also seen subarus with yota axles under them. And the h6 engine

Cool!  A subi with yota axels, I would love to see that.
If my wife would let me I would do a sas on the tercell, but she puts up with my crawler and parts piles in the yard so I am not going to push my luck..lol

There are some cool ones here,

An sas on a tercel wagon lol. Could be done, just put a datsun/nissan divorced t case behind the transmission.
Hardest part would be mating the axle to the unibody lol. Then yea have the tiny little engine lol

I tired to get it started yesterday and it would not start. it started up about a month ago to move it so i dont know what happened.

i still want to get it started though because I want to have some fun with it before it goes to scrap.

I have an 83 wagon, bought it in 1990. Great car. There is actually a tercel wagon bbs http://tercel4wd.com/
There are still a bunch on the road in my area, not that rare.

Yeah, I see them fairly frequently in California as well.

this is the one i fixed up and sold locally (to a damn crackhead)

think i sold it for like 800 too lol...

here is the other one i got with it.... no title, and rusted so it was fun...

and the reason i got the pair for 300 bucks, the "nice" one had a bad ring gear in the front diff, so i took the carrier and axles out and pluged the hole, locked the diff in 4wd and took the light out of the dash, WALA RWD tercel lol
