Hi all this is redneck  :beer:
Im lookin for a cheap way to MAKE a hysteer system the only steering parts we have are stock 80 parts, 89 2wd parts and everything off an 85 wagoneer.

The last guy I know who did something like this CHEAP died after a snow run when he drove off the road and into a tree because it failed. Why would I want to give you advise to go the cheap route on a critical issue like STEERING :shake: :shake: :shake: :shake:
Buy the good highsteer arms from Marlin or someone else. If you look you can find the one with the best price, save some money and still be here in 15 years giving good advise,

What he said....do not skimp on any steering work....your life is not worth it.

saw brandon make a crossover for cheap and it looked very strong
I just want something cheap but still safe.
How about buying some used arms and having a Prof Fabricater do the draglink Or modiffy the drag link off the waggoneer? Will the 89 2wd steering box work it looks like it will but not sure :confused:
Also what part of the steering failed?

I saw tie rods and drglinks on FROR for $60 :ugh: is this true?
Theres gota be a way to do this cheaper than the 550 kits...............SAFELY

if you find a cheaper way let me know.
i want cross over too, but i have other things that need attention.  that's why i just carry an extra pitman arm. :)

1985 4runner on 35 boggers.  22re, W56 tranny, daul cases with 4:1 in the back case, ford f150 fronts with 63" chevys in the back, cross over steering, full width chevy axles with detroit back and ARB front,
