which ram?

my ram assist has slowly been leaking and is getting worse and worse.  looking to get a new ram.  as of right now, i have a 1.5x6.  PSC sells a 1.5x6, 1.75x6, and a 2x6.  sometimes when i'm jammed up in the rocks, not even the ram will allow me to move.  just wondering if going to a 1.75 would help any in the rocks, or does the toyota ps pump not supply enough pressure for it?  also, i don't want it to be any slower in response than what the 1.5x6 has.  will i benefit any going to a 1.75x6 or maybe even a 2x6 or should i stick with the 1.5x6?

Replace it with a PSC 1.5x6. If you wedged in the rocks and that can't turn, your not going to get it to turn And your right, the toyota stock pump will not keep up with a larger ram but you could get the PSC steering kit  bling bling

yea, kinda what i'm thinking too.  wasn't sure if the toyota pump would keep up with a 1.75 ram or not.

The aftermarket ones will but that ram will burn up a toy pump. And if your needing that much force, I would begin to fear bending an axle housing

the larger rams will go slower I agreed on a better pump

I run a hydro assist kit as full hydro with no problems. You must be careful with hydro steer because it is easy to over stress every other part of the front end. If your steering wheel stops then find a better line.
