actually YES,  Rock Fink Ravine, in HotSprings, i went over this boulder on the right rear just as the front left was going up a tree stump i think, anyway it rocked HARD to the right, didnt think anything of it, till i saw the big (huge) dent in the lower rear 1/4,
its a saw mill chain, think of a HUGE bicycle chain, and its just bolted on with 1/4 inch bolts

i'm gonna put one on the drivers side also
so howd they hold up? you make it sounds kinda bad...so was it lack of bracing on your part? or just weak metal that bent?

:headscratch:  the bad dent happened before i put them on,  thats why i put them there

they hold up great, actually  i havent braced them yet, but they held up so far just being welded on, i have bracing material made to go on just hasnt been a priority

Cool rig! Did you upgrade your innershaft or birdfields?  Or is it stock?  If it is stock, have you ever broken a shaft or birdfield?  Because I am planning to put lockers up front & back, gearing, and 33X10.5 muds up front and wondering if throwing longs is over kill.  Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

i have broken a birfield before but i was running 32's at the time and i was stupid.
I was stuck in a ravine and went to hit the clutch and quickly reverse in an attempt to rock it out but hit the brake pedal by mistake :wall:

i have yet to break a birfield on the trail while wheeling but i do NOT run a front locker.

You made me think about gates

Check out this sweet gate:

I've thought about installing one of these in our back yard

But you know you just can't skip on the classic picket wooden fence, like this one

What do you think about old looking picket fences? I think they are the coolest

Hey BigMike,

Did you know picket fences date all the way back to the early colonial era? :o
