4 runner4play

Just bought an 88 runner, it's been a long time since I've been in the off road community. Many years ago I bought a brand new 85 Toyota 4x4 right off the lot. I loved that truck! Got married and poof! The truck disappears lol. Bought another truck, 86 Toyota long bed, loved that truck and I still have it but it's in many pieces. I put about 300,000 + miles on that truck and now it's been parted out pretty much. Decided its time to get back on the trail.
My new 88 runner is red and in excellent shape. The lady I bought it from was the original owner and parked it 10 years ago. It's Ben a non-op all this time. I decided to really make it road worthy after sitting all this time. Pulled the head, did a valve job, new timing chain and guides, all new belts, hoses, cap, rotor, wires, plugs etc.............. U get the idea! Just about finished with the engine compartment. I have another W56 that's on it's way the the trans shop and when it's done I'll swap it out with the one in my runner now.
Looking for some F-150 rear leaf springs and I'll put spacers up front. Rear locker for sure! Anyone have ant suggestions for an excellent rear locker?
Next I'm going to have the seats reupholstered, a couple door panels, shift boots and a new stereo with a C/B radio so me my brother and nephew can all communicate along with any other off roaders that want to join in. As soon as I have been on Marlin crawler long enough I will post some picks. I am a newbie here and love this great way to connect with my fellow off roaders. I look forward to sharing my runners progress.
Thanks Carson!
