81 pickup. the choke doesnt seem to be working on my truck. with the aircleaner off i can press the gas pedal once and i see the plate closes but when i start my truck it idles hella low and rough low enough for the battery light to come on. even if i wait a few minutes the idle never goes to anything above normal idle (950rpm). also i dont think the fuel cut selonoid is working either because my truck diesels every now and again when i shut it off. is there any adjustment for the high idle speed? any fuses for it?

yes there is an adjusting screw for high idle. directions and details can be found in yer fsm or haynes manual.

the engine fuse is good. looked at the directions in the fsm, is the adjuster screw the one on the bottom side of the throttle opener? if it is i have to turn the throttle to get to it and its all the way in.

still waiting for my engine to cool but ive found that there isnt any spring tension on the fast idle cam, i have to open the throttle by hand and set the fast idle cam on the steps of it. how is the spring supposed to be installed? any pics would be awesome.=
