At the beginning of January my truck blew the head gasket to the point where I had pools in my cylinders.

I finally got it done not too long ago, two weeks after I replaced it, bam, blown again.

The head wasn't cracked or warped when I had it pulled.

I'm really lost here.  My only idea is that cylinder 4 (where water jacket was blown both times) is running extremely lean.  Right before the first time it blew, I pulled the plugs, and 4 was lean.  I can only guess that the #4 injector is bad and causing that gasket to blow.

I would think if you had a bad injector you would have performace loss, fuel loss and a truck thats missing, I would write the hole thing off in favor of a remanufactured motor or used motor. Odds are you my need the deck checked on the block, magnifluxing heads and block, sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen all over again. Start fresh write off your losses

It does miss like hell sometimes at start up, I get about 6mpg, and die going up hills.  I definitely have fuel and performance loss.

I can't afford a new block......

This seems to be a common problem here. See Black Dogs thread http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=8227.0

He also has #4 cyl blowing. I would do a search for Toyota head gasket problems on Google and see if you can find a support group or forum on that topic.

There may be more to this.

That sucks you lost another head gasket?  How many miles dose the motor have on it? I know with my 22r I burn 1 head gasket every 2 years. (felpro used) In fact I am loosing antifreeze now. 1/2 gal every 1800 miles on mine it has always been cylinder #3

did you check for electrolisis around the seal ring on the head very common problem with toyotas the water port gets eaten away and head gaskets go really fast make sure your block is grounded really well and use distilled water and proper antifreeze mix to avoid this problem
