First gen vents
« on: Nov 07, 2011, 08:34:56 PM »
What is the purpose of the vents on the outside of the truck on the pillars behind the door frame on first gen pickups? Im wondering if it would be a bad idea to block them off because I am wanting to install speakers on the inside of that pillar.

I put my speakers in that spot ! I just put some duct tape on the inside just to keep the moisture out ! My speakers are just above those vents !

ever have your heater set at off and still feel air coming through vents?  it cause the air from outside gets pushed in and the vents allow it to come in and cycle the air.

I didn't say my cab was air tight !! By the time you put different seats in and all the other stuff behind the seat the bottom vents are almost always covered up !! Been this way for years !
