Hay everybody. Another noob here. I'm from the Fresno area and I'm building an 83 dodge d50 diesel mutt. Has Chevy 12 bolt rear Dana 44 front both full width. 5.38 gears 35" baja claws. I built the adapter from the Mitsubishi diesel engine to a Toyota tranny. Collecting the parts for the Marlin doubler setup. Nice to meet ya

Thanks. I've intended on joining this site for a while but haven't had a lot of time. Anyway the truck is pretty cool. Kind of an odd duck. A friend and I were tryin to see what we could build on a budget and my dad was gonna throw it away so I figured what the heck.

Thanks big mike. Was your rig the one in the video with dual 4.70 boxes?

BigMike

You've probably got me confused with someone else. My truck is a 1981 two-tone blue/white short bed with Triple Marlin Crawler t/cases and only 1 set of 4.70:1 Marlin Crawler gears.

Marlin's truck (the famous red Crawler truck of course) does have 2 sets of 4.70:1 Marlin Crawler gears, but he also has a triple Marlin Crawler transfer case setup.

My truck is only 511:1 but it gets the job done  Do you have any pics of your truck to share?
