a crew of people and i are going up sunday. last i heard from someone that went last night was they were breaking trail at inskip and there were pushing through 3ft. sounds like they didnt make it to far. hopefully the p dise monster truck club will go blaze some trail for us.

tomorrow im sure will give it a shot. but if we cant make it far im sure we will probably end up just coming down pawelton road. when theres this much snow that can be an awesome run.

Dingman.

When theres a bunch of snow powelton is cool to mess around on for. Little

But this takes all the fun out of it.  On stormy nights like this back in the '90's my buddies and I used to head up from Chico either on a planned camping trips or just for the hell of it in our open diff IFS rigs.  On camping run with this exact type of weather we left Chico around 4pm and didn't get into Spring Valley until 1am, the wives and girlfriends weren't to happy with the time it took, but then again they weren't trying to drive in it either.

Eh prob just tires the weight isnt that big. just look at thors rig that thing is setup redic for the snow 49's on steel wheels.. v8 with a heavy auto and 203/205 id say probably weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of your tacoma. Ive got a set of extremely grooved 40" boggers on right now but im thinking they might not be enough this season.. digging the 44's back out to get grooved

Cody, I have an extra L- series tranny if that helps. It's good .
Also there's a pic on FB of Thor over a cliff at 4am Fri morning, all you can really see is a pair of 49" Iroks and A LOT of snow. He's fine and his rig is also...

im confused so did he roll down after that? or did he roll off something and thats where it landed.. cab looks fine, and was that on the road going up before hitting inskip.

and thats the rig we needed in front of us the other night.

IronClad

No roll, the story was "Thor Miller thanks for everyones help i was passing wes coons cousin in a corner and blew snow all over the windsheild"

and yeah that rig is a snow mobbing machine

That pic doesn't do justice for where his rig is...., that's right around college hill, and if you know that part of the road its either a bank or a cliff. A tree stopped his front tire or it would have been a serious tumble..

this thread is pretty weak this year. has anyone even been going...? iv been getting ready for koh so i havent been up since new years. snow should be awesome by now, would make for some good night wheelin runs

86yoter

i havent been up that way but went from ice house to wrights lake road and even though there was no fresh snow it was nice to wheel on. took most of the day to go about 12 miles. it was about 4 to 5 feet along the way.......  there was nothing but snow mobile tracks after about a mile.  :driving:
