02 Taco doesnt idle down when shifting
« on: Oct 13, 2011, 11:24:51 AM »
the truck has the 3.4 and when you push in the clutch to shift it doesnt idle down as quick as it should.  Or atleast  not as quick as the 22's do.  Maybe its me but it just makes it a pain to shift quickly.  An :dunno:y one else have this issue?

Do 02 tacoma's have throttle by wire?

I've seen very slow reaction times with cars that have throttle by wire......

no 02 tacoma's do not have drive by wire at all its still a cable and I would check you idle air control valve also carbine built up will also cause a slow kick down yes your intake will get some carbine in it but not a ton try doing a intake cleaner and checking your IAC.
