I have an alarm, but if I am in the mall this wont do me any good, but bring a little attention to the truck.  I am planning on rewiring my trail lights and I thought since I have the soldering gun and heat shrink tubes out....I should install a kill switch.

Now here is the questions...what kind? where can you get them at a decent price? where to  mount them? how many to install?  any tips on installing them?

Hyena

I just bought a length of wire and a light switch, like ones for lights.  We hooked it up to the coil, so when they try to start it with the switch on, the engine will turn over but it doesn't fire.

does toy have a fuel solenoid valve on the carb like nissan? you could break power to that and it will stall before it gets too far. On EFI trucks find the EFI or fuel pump relay and pull it out.A well hidden battery cut off will make it hard to do anything even if they try to jump start the truck.

My friend has a fuel pump switch on his toy, he did a 22re conversion on his 80.  You have to switch it on in order for the fuel pump to work.  It will turn over with it off but will not spark either.

You should also run a manual locking device like the Auto lock.  I picked one up about 5 years ago.  It is fairly solid, and would be hard to cut off.  It is best to have multiple systems, alarm, visual, and mechanical deterents.
