Hello. Names Chris. I'm from laguna hills but live in Bakersfield for now. Been wheelin an 85 short bed pickup since 88 (with pops of course, I was born in 81). Been driving organized runs since 1991. I own 2 85 runners. One 85 pickup a 78 cj and a 73 Hilux.
Bought a marlin crawl box in 94 and have been a fan ever since.
Joined this forum due to the plethora of knowledge on the 3rz swap.
My current and last build is the 73 Hilux. It is in process now and almost ready for a motor. Was sold on the 3rz until someone put a bug in my ear on the 2tr. Now I am heavily leaning that way but have some questions. Hope you guys can help and I can help you. If not. See you out there.

haha. I promise I'll get them. I usually dont take any while im building. I just like to focus on the job. I live in Bakersfield but my welder, torches, hoists etc. are all in laguna hills, not to mention the hilux. Ill be there monday working on it. Ill have pics by Wed! Promise.

Yea man. i have an apt here in town but at my moms I have like a 7 car driveway with no association, I feel bad, but in it she has 2 pickups torn apart and 3 motors. My dad lives next door to her and he is just as bad as me hes got a jeep and a 4 runner he just got done building in the driveway as well. Im gonna try and clean most of it up and organize it. Good thing for us she is on the end of a cul de sac and one neighbor is a gear head whose got some projects of his own. One happy corner. Like sanford and son. Good thing it is one of the few neighborhoods without an association

Here is what the driveway looked like with 1 truck being built in it about 4 years ago. This isnt even whats behind the camera. I've seen worse though
