I figure a ton of people are looking for work right now and are barely making ends meat.  People who have nice jobs are doing fine, but they have probably been there for a while, or did "favors" to get there.   :outtahere:  I am proposing that everyone here on Marlin's board help one another out to get through this depression we are going through.  I thought if everyone lists their skills, or what they do, maybe we can help one another find work for each other in our home towns.  For Example:

I live in Fresno, CA.  I am a licensed electrician I do residential and commercial electrical.  I do other side work, like I can do tile, build fences, and brick mailboxes.  I prefer to stick with electrical, and give the tile work to my buddy who is a Marlin member here in Fresno the tile work, since he does that.  He does awesome tile work.

So if you are interested in this idea, let me know what you think about it.  I thought it was a smart way to get people working to be able to pay their bills.  If interested, post what you can do, and the area you are in, so we can help each other,  If I find a job in Fresno needing tile work, I call my buddy to go do it.  and so fourth.  I understand people probably do not want to list their phone numbers, but we can PM one another and once we get to know one another, we can give that information out when we fell comfortable about it.  Let's help each other through this nightmare.  :usa:

This is a good idea.  I am secure in my position, but we may be adding another Mechanic to our team, if we get the ok from our V.P.  It would be a full time benefited position, with 401K and profit sharing with well over 20 days a year in vacation.  It is in Santa Cruz, and the company never lays off Full Time Regular employees.  I will certainly let the board know, if the position opens up.

I thought I'd bring this post back to life again, it's been a while since anyone has posted anything.  I know this economy has taken a crapper for the worst.  What pisses me off is that people who work hard, then lose their jobs.  For instance, my wife and her co-workers are losing their jobs because they are moving their department to india.  People who have worked there from 2 to 22 years.  Honestly,  screw india!  They can go F@*! themselves raw for all I care.  These days when the economy is crap, they are making jobs available for punks in india and other countries.  What ever happened to the Good Old US of A?  We became a consumer country.  Hardly anything is made here now.  We are an amazing country, that needs to show how great we really are.  I want to see people post what they do in their areas, so we can put money in America's pockets again.  When you see a member post a job listing, something we ourselves need help with, or what they do in a certain area, write their name down and what they do.  When a job comes up, see if one of us does that, and go on the job together and make money.  I am going to keep a phone book type of listing to keep track of my area.  Even if you want to help on the side for a little extra cash, that's great.  I sometimes pick up jobs where I might need an extra hand, and if we can turn a wrench, we can fix anything.  If we can build amazing trucks, we can do more simple things in construction, or any other fields.  If there is a job open in the area, tell us, so we all can make money to put food on our tables, not theirs. :usa:

Although, I cant offer jobs right now !  I can get an idea of what you are selling.  Although I work for a huge company, I do all my buying.  I look for bearing, and industrial apps, I also look for good fab equipment, suppliers, and safety equipment.  If your company is hurting and you got a good price, and most importantly, customer service! Just to throw that out there.

This is awesome, I am glad to see people letting others know what they do, and what they can offer.  Thanks everyone, and keep it up.  We can not change the world together, but we can try to make it better.  This is what I am talking about. :usa: :yesnod:

I am not on as much I would like to be or out wheeling my ass off. But I am enjoy life and with a new gf :) . We are both seasonal workers out in National Parks or stores close by . Its a great job traveling every six months if you can handle it.I've worked in many different departments for companies. My main jobs usually are fast passed and in food n.  beverage or warehouse  But this winter I am expanding my experience to run a cashier ( never have before ) but who any who . What I do right is just  right now is s just so much fun seeing all the fun parts of the west side. We are looking at a park in Virgina called Shenandoah. We are doing this until we are ready for school. But I am not sure what I want to go into . Is any one familar with Advanced air traffic control , it is a school down in Georgia .

We have a job opening where I work, for a mechanic.  Its in Santa Cruz, at the Boardwalk.  2 years minimum experience.  Most people here, retire in their positions, cause its a great place to work.  With forever job security (the company is going on 105 years) , unless you fark up.   Great benefits (that start right away), 401K, profit share, start about 25 days vacation a year.  Raises always happen plus bonuses.  Work at the beach, with beautiful people.  Full fab facilities, you can use, on your own time.  A small mechanics test (100 questions), and another test for drugs.

Just thought I would throw it out there, jump on it, cause its posted now.  Just go and fill out an app. put my name on it and we go from there.
