fyi trail gear rear leafs end up totaling 4.5-5" of lift when installed.

most aftermarket options will net 1.5-2" higher than the spring size due to relocating the hangers and using loner shackles

a way to go would be to french the hangers to lower the height and run a shorter shackle

here is my 81 with 2" of lift and 33s and you can see it doesnt sit very tall so going with a 4"total lift wouldnt hurt but I do agree lower is better

thats perfect or could use +1inch. i got to thinking when u messaged me about the 51" yota springs u might use, for i didnt know they had that length before the crappy tacoma springs. maybe those with no overload and a 2" AAL or added springs from another pack would be perfect.

thats the route I was gonig to try... loose the overload to get rid of the hang up hazard and add leafs since they are a naturally soft leaf...

the 3rd gen 51" springs will move the rear axle back about 3/8" and just have to relocate the rear shackle hanger or run a long shackle with stock hangers

89-95 4wd pick ups 2wds are about the same length but only 2 leaves and have more arch since they are spring under...

and you do have to press out and replace the busings since they use 14mm bolts compared to the 18mm that our trucks use

also before you buy them make sure that they are 51" flat length because some I looked at were still the same 48" as our stock

no real updates. got a new job at les schwab busting tires, no more commuting 110 miles a day so hopefully i can start building this thing. got donor doors for half doors, new guide seals, gaskets and seals for the knuckles to put my diffs in, and replaced a blown out wheel cylinder. oh and a flowdisaster muffler so i can hear it now.

Well I posted a wanted ad in the parts section. Got the push pull box from a guy in sac, someone else sent me everything but the box. Idk what years they came from but the pump fit pretty ok in the oem bracket, idk where the pressure line actually routes but it fits and doesn't leak so who cares. Did it all for less than $200 I can post pictures if u want

Also sadly inherited a Flame Red 05 Neon srt4 from my mom

But i have managed to get some sliders on finally and 15x8 steelies. got my f150 leaf springs and have a set of 3in skyjacker fronts that I'm going to see what happens when i mix them with the rear pack
