Several more pics of the destruction

your 40 is looking sweet with those mtr's.  i would steer clear of those bolt on slider steps.  not being tied into the frame, they will ruin your rockers if you plan to use them as sliders.

I just picked up a 77 '40 myself im turning into my new DD with a 3.4 or 3rz swap.  whichever i can fit/afford.  trying to talk myself out of the normal 350 swap.

looking forward to the updates.
Im like Hugh Hefner minus everything good about his life.

Well.. As always the plan has changed.. I just picked up a 60 front an 14 bolt for the cruiser, ditching the th350 for a 4l60e and Atlas 2 speed.  I want to stretch the wheel base as much as possible and get it back on the road!

This build should officially be renamed the "Craigslist Krawler" because the 40 and all the parts I'm gathering all come from CL  :smokin:  Couple pics of the freshly rebuilt 4L65E trans out of a 04 SS Silverado

How much more is the wheel base stretched from what you had it before? Are you going to comp cut the rear?

It went from 93" to 104.5" not planning on a comp cut..  It will need some major trimming though  :flamer:
