You already have the hellfire knuckles or you plan on getting them? Thought they weren't out yet :dunno:

Sweet rig by the way  :beerchug:

As many more detailed pics as possible. My 1st request it a pic looking straight down the side showing how much the tires stick out. What rear end are you running and whats the Back spacing on your wheels?

I'll get more pics this weekend.  Wheels are 4.5" backspacing to suck the front in, 3" wheel spacers plus IFS rear to match.  Tires stick out maybe 3" if i remember correctly.

I am business partners w/ Billy releasing these knuckles...these are prototypes being tested before release.  This was not meant as advertisement for the knuckles, just want to share my project with peers to get feedback.  I have a huge respect for Marlin Crawler and will remove all mention of our product if needed.

Also want to give BigMike and others here on this forum a big THANK YOU for all the 3RZ tech! My swap wouldn't have been possible without it.

I see  Didn't seem like you were advertising them at all, just caught my attention when I saw it. Been following the thread on pirate too.

But I've got to ask, how are they holding up?

They've been holding up great to 40" tires and a pretty heavy 4runner...very happy with the setup.

Nice :smokin: Are you also running stock axles?

John Doe

Well I am in line for a set from the 1st batch. My wheels are only 3.5" so I'll be just a tiny bit wider though.

Stock axles w/ no issues.

How do you like the Power f the 3rz with the weight of your rig?

Good power in the flats, almost got it up to 80 (would have gone faster).  Descent grades I can hold 4th @ 65, steep grades I'm @ 55 in 3rd.  Overall street driving impressions are a lot better than the 22re (was 22re w/ 36's & 5.29's no exo), but I still wouldn't mind a little more power for grades.  This is part of the reason I may be dropping to 37's, plus it needs to fit in my garage a little better.
Wheeling-wise...this motor is awesome!  Motor runs very smooth and no overheating on hot days at low speeds w/ no shroud (3.0 radiator).

This 4Runner is sick as hell. Very nice work.  :smokin:

Thanks a lot for the comments guys, wouldn't have been possible without a ton of ideas taken from here :smokin:.

Finishing up the PSC 2.7 kit, should have pics in a couple weeks when I get back from a business trip.

Here's a couple pics in the meantime...

Totally forgot to get pics, here's the closest one I have to show how much the tires stick out (I'll try to get a better one later):

Going to add a leaf in the rear, 2" shorter uppers in the front, then I'll be happy with the ride height.  Comparison to stock grand:

John Doe

Just curious, whats the ride height?

Was 27" to the frame by the rear tires, and 28" to the frame by the front...before the springs settled.  These tires are a lot bigger than i thought (measure out to a true 40" mounted at street pressure).

Its not super low, but feels pretty stable.  Once the spring mods are done, i'm hoping for 26"-27" to the frame on 40's w/ 3"-4" uptravel in the front.  I'll have updated measurements and pics when I get back in town in a couple weeks.

What kit do you have in the front? or did you make the link kit yourself?
Low locked and ready to rock

The front was fabbed by a friend, no kit.  1.25" ruffstuff heims on the lowers/upper.  .75" heims on panhard and steering.

Most brackets also from ruffstuff..

smacaulay

Better shot of front setup (steering arms are rough cut mockup only, not production)
