So I would need the knuckle and spindle and just use my manual hubs?
affirmative
my neighbors got a IFS hub and all he said he had to do was reposition the caliper to the other side of the mount and through bolt it
Wrong, sorry, im not a mod, but please dont post stuff unless your pretty well informed, or have seen it work, thats how misinformation gets spreadHe would have to swap a solid axle hub gear into his ifs lock hub bodies for them to even fit over his birf, which would be a waste of time
Wow, this crawln guy. A toy axle consists of a HUB DIAL, HUB BODY, AND A WHEEL HUB. 3 different terms for 3 different parts.Yes you can bolt a ifs rotor and caliper onto a solid axle sure, Better brakes. Thats not a ifs hub body or wheel hub on the solid axle.Ol blue To put your axle together, stock way, without modding it or drilling, or swapping a SOLID AXLE HUB GEAR into you IFS HUB BODIES, Get the knuckles, spindles, wheel hubs and hub bodies from a solid axle truck. You CAN re use the hub dial from your ifs, also the calipers. If you cannot find a solid axle hub body, you can order the longfield hub gear, and put it into your ifs hub body, but this will not allow youi to get the c clip on the end of your birf, without machining.
Yeah he has a ifs WHEEL hub, and a fj60 rotor with fj60 studs, and he had to grind his calipers, and drill holes in his knuckles. And he STILL is using a solid axle hub body, or a ifs one with a sa hub gearIm not trying to be rude at all, just letting you know
why not use a ifs rotor and caliper and skip all that bs?
why grind calipers, why would you drill holes into the knuckle? and why fj60 studs?
google brake upgrade for toyota straight axle or ifs hubs on straight axle
