leaky steering pump
« on: Jan 30, 2005, 07:11:14 PM »
Today went out to my truck, started it and the CHARGE and BRAKE light were on, so I was like $h!t alternator is out so i pop the hood and there is what looks like power steering fluid all over the alternator, so i clean off the pump and start the truck no leaks, so I have my little brother start sawing the steering wheel and still no leaks, I check the resivor and still just a littlm low, the pump isn't making any strange noises.  Has this happen to any body before? :dunno:
Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
There are only 3 kinds of people in the world, those who can count and those who can't. Which are you?

Yup It has a slow leak most likely and you didnt notice the oil before.  Its pretty hard to see under the pump.
