Man, sorry to hear about that! Does your doc have you on a muscle relaxant (Baclofen, Flexeril, Soma, Robaxin, Skelaxin, etc)? Might help with the spasms, Valium is also very effective, but being a controlled substance, is used much less. I'd imagine your doc has given you some stretches, which will probably help. Also, do some Ice and Heat on the area, it will also help.

Those are appropriate, and i would hope provide some relief. It's been a few days since we talked, are you feeling any better?

sadly,  not much,  the change in meds has helped alot but  i cant spend as much time online cause it gives me headaches  and my back hurts to sit too long

i'm on a Arnold Chiari Malformation support group,  and  from some of the other members symptoms  ive come to the conclusion i might have a syrinx somewhere around T8 or 9,   at times i get anywhere from a pin prick to what feels like someone hitting me betewwn the shoulder blades with a sledge hammer

i did get myself some forearm crutches, they are kinda heavy but i can support myself without having the wrist and hand pain i was having

i went to get my bumper tuesday,  200 miles north to Gittinit's house,  i got there and i was in SO much pain,  my feet  were  stinging like they had yellow jackets in my boots, i laid flat on his metal trailer (hot sun+metal trailer= :yikes: )  and  in a few minutes  i felt WAY better, im sure the combination of the flat surface  and the HOT surface   is what helped so much,  i drove all the way back home  with  only moderate pain,  i was extremely exhausted  but  i was happy i got to make the trip,  i was really proud of myself :disturbed:
