I have the chance to buy a 84 4Runner with 114k miles.  The catch is that it has been sitting in a barn since 2000.  What, if anything, besides the basic fluid and filter changes would you do to the truck?  Specifically the fuel tank.  Thanks in advance for the advice.

Check for nests in the intake, squirt some oil in the sparkplug holes, drop the gas tank and clean it out.

check the paperwork for back tags and fees.  See how much you need for all that as well.  Sometimes it can get costly.

no doubt.  i asked that question but he has kept the tag current every year.  said his insurance agent told him to list his kids on it.
