Tonight I watched part of a show that documented some of the worlds most amazing coupon shoppers.  One them feeds a family of five for $150 a month using coupon shopping takenm to the limit.  In two years she has stockpiled about $20,000 worth of stuff for about $2,000.  They showed the family go to the grocery store and purchase over $650 worth of stuff retail for under $7.  It was borderline crazy stuff, but she used something like 18 seperate transactions to use multiple coupons and even made money on many of the items.  Double $0.55 coupons on a $1 item.  Even the bag boy gave her a hug after loading the car.

This is extreme, but very impressive.

Funny you should mention this - I'm going to watch and learn!!!! I think it's great and now that I'm unemployed with no income, I need to learn to save wherever possible.

Raising a kid with no income or financial support will do weird things to a person. I probably would have shied away from the idea back when I was financially stable, but now I'll do whatever it takes to provide for my baby girl  :disturbed:

I don't know about you but I have more time than money so if I can feed my family of 6 for $7 for a whole month then show me where to stand!

Im paid 25 hourly, and she beats my pay just for standing in line,
id do it for my kid, but I simply just dont need to,
me the wife and our daughter, might use 400 at most in groceries a month
I dont even notice that,
actually I would notice the 300 in my pocket if i shopped like them

These people go to some extreme measures to save alot of money on all there household goods.

We watch one couple last night that didn't understand the stores policy on the coupons they were attempting to use. So they needed to call and ask 5 friends to run down to the store they were at to complete all their transactions. Thats just great, you save all kinds of cash as your friends burn up their $4.20 a gallon fuel to help you out.
